Description
Skittle balls made from a black phenol resin composite. These are similar to the material used to make modern lawn bowls and ten pin bowling balls.
The weight and density are deliberately similar to Lignum Vitae which was, for centuries, the wood of choice for skittles in the West Country. They have been used by serious pubs and league players successfully for many years. Although the price has increased significantly over the last five years due to the war in Ukraine pushing up the price of raw materials, Masters Traditional Games is committed to making minimal profit on them, to ensure that pubs can continue to host their skittle alleys.
Please not that these balls have been known to leave marks on the alley surface. In most environments, this is not an issue but apparently cellulose thinners are effective at removal, if required.
5 inch skittle balls, made in the UK.
