Description

This is our long-handled version of a bat, for the game of Bat and Trap, hand-made by an English craftsman in Ash hardwood. Our bat is nominally just under 5.5 inches wide and conforms to all known Bat and Trap league regulations. The total length of the long-handled bat measures 51cm with a handle length of 28cm.



Some ‘batters’ like to grip their bat with both hands so we have provided this long-handled version of it to accommodate those players.



The game of Bat and Trap is an ancient relative of Cricket, still popular in Kent and an interesting game for those looking for something new to try. The same equipment could also be used for playing another traditional game, “Knur and Spell”, that will go down well at a village fetes or fairs.



Please take extra care to ensure the bats are not hit on the edge of the trap. The impact from such hit may cause damage to the bat.
