Description

Formula D is the action-packed game of Formula 1 and road races. In essence, a race game governed by the roll of the dice but with plenty of additional complexity.



Watch your speed around the corners, be careful of collisions and don’t blow out your engine as you race up to 9 opponents on two playable tracks; Monaco and Race City.



The reversible board and two maps are nicely illustrated and all the included components enhance the appeal of the game. Full instructions are included, with simple instructions also enclosed for quick start races.



Simple race games often hold little re-play value but Formula D does feature a good deal of complexity and, although luck is involved with the roll of the die, decision making and strategy do play a part in the race. For example, players must decide which gear – and subsequently which die to roll – to take corners and must avoid over-shooting the bends to avoid damaging their cars.



The rules also include the ability to customise cars, add Slip-streaming rules and road debris, and change tire types to modify distance rolls. There are also variations for a single lap race, or multiple laps with pit stops to repair damage points.
