Description
Lawn Bowls ditch markers are put on the side of the ditch to show where bowls and jacks are when they fall into the ditch. The rules of Bowls include special legislation for this situation and it is vital that players know where the Jack and bowls are located in the ditch for the remainder of the end. Generally, they are invisible, however, so ditch markers are a critical part of the game.
The yellow marker is normally used to indicate the location of the Jack.
These ditch markers are supplied by leading bowls manufacturer Drakes Pride and are made from painted metal. They are designed to simply lie over the edge of the green and therefore require a reasonably flat surface to lie on with a right-angled edge on the outer side of the ditch.
