Due popular demand, we decided to produce smoothed Shove Ha’penny coins in sets of 5. These are ha’penny coins that have been sanded and polished on one side for the playing of the classic English pub game Shove Ha’penny. Made from genuine old English Ha’pennies, the smoothed side is polished to a mirror finish for super slick sliding and the other is untouched.



Smoothed ha’pennies are better for slate boards and should be used with some kind of powder suitable for game surfaces such as arrow-root or french chalk powder. Talcum powder may also work.
