Inspired by England’s rich and diverse history, these fine Chess pieces are made from ground stone resin and manufactured by Berkeley Chess of England.



Play as King Henry VIII, Sir Francis Drake, Queen Elizabeth I and Thomas Becket. All the pieces are nicely weighted, superbly detailed and all feature felted bottoms. This is a wonderful set of Chess pieces that brings English history to life.



In each era of English history dominant figures and symbols have emerged to illustrate the period. These were typically from the worlds of monarchy, military, religion, literature or politics. The master craftsmen of Berkeley Chess have created this beautiful chess set with six such symbols which characterise the evolution of this great country.
