Description

Authentic Yunzi Go stones from the Chinese province of Yunnan. These are single-convex Yuniz stones with a flat base. This form is more popular throughout China (than bi-convex stones) and are useful for game reviews as they can be flipped over to differentiate them from other stones. The flat base also offers a more satisfying ‘snap’ sound when played onto the Go board.



Yunzi stones are made from compressed stone, although the exact composition is a closely guarded secret. They are generally considered to be a far superior alternative to glass and are more affordable than clamshell and slate Go stones



These genuine Yunzi Go stones are presented in wicker-effect black and white plastic Go bowls with screw-top lids. Each stone measures 22 x 6 mm. Approximately 180 of each colour.
