Description

Masters Traditional Games occasionally obtains some genuine Boxwood pins and cheese. These are hand-turned by a turner who has been making Northamptonshire Skittles maker for decades.

They are varnished with lacquer that is an old family recipe and have trademark rings on the cheeses. They are expensive but boxwood is the hardest and heaviest and longest-lasting English timber and is now rare – so you get what you pay for.

Please note that the pins often have darker areas and knots and even the occasional fracture in the wood showing on them. This does not affect the robustness of the wood. Boxwood is an extremely dense wood with a tightly entangled grain. If a pin breaks within the first year of use we will replace it no problem (replacement time is subject to stock).

This is the set of pins only and does not include the cheeses.
